BREAKING: Cambodian and Thai Military Leaders Agree to Ceasefire and Enhance Communication During Meeting at Osmach International Gate

Oddar Meanchey Province, July 29, 2025 — A high-level meeting between Cambodian and Thai military officials took place today at the Osmach International Gate in Oddar Meanchey Province, marking a significant step toward stabilizing border relations. The meeting, which concluded at approximately 11 a.m., involved Lieutenant General Pov Heng, Commander of Cambodia’s Military Region 4, and General Boonsin Padklang, Commander of Thailand’s Military Region 2.

The talks centered on bilateral efforts to reduce tension along the border and promote peaceful cooperation between the two nations. After discussions, several key agreements were reached to foster trust and prevent conflict.

Key Outcomes of the Meeting:

1. Both parties agreed to cease fire, adhering to existing agreements.

2. The two sides committed to enhancing communication. 

3. In the event of any arising problems, both sides agreed that issues should be resolved jointly through cooperation between Regional 4 and Regional 2, with each side appointing four representatives to participate in joint problem-solving efforts.
